This particular size bus is referred to as a TYPE A Bus in the school bus industry. This traditional style Blue Bird Vision is probably the most common style school bus that gets converted into a Skoolie Bus for purposes other than hauling school kids. This is a 40 foot long yellow school bus that has about 28.5 feet of usable interior space for your conversion project. Common conversions include mobile living spaces with bunks or dedicated bedrooms, work spaces, mobile businesses and more. School buses are rugged and not very complicated mechanically so they make a great bus for Skoolie Conversion Projects.

This Activity Bus flat nose style bus is very popular among Skoolie Bus Converters due to the amount of useful interior space that it affords. This is a 40 foot long rear engine bus that has almost 37 feet of usable interior space for your conversion project. Common conversions include totally off-grid mobile homes, work spaces, mobile businesses and more. Under-floor luggage storage compartments are also fairly common on this style bus and they are typically repurposed into areas for storing supplies, water tanks, solar power battery storage, generator storage and more.
