Why choose a TEMSA bus
- ✓
True coach comfort in shorter lengths. The 30- and 35-foot TEMSAs suit groups too small to fill a 45-foot coach.
- ✓
Smaller coaches burn less fuel and are easier to park at hotels, schools and venues.
- ✓
Used prices are often lower than comparable MCI or Prevost coaches.
- ✓
ADA lift options are available on TS 35 and TS 45 models for accessible charters.

About TEMSA Coaches
TEMSA is based in Adana, Turkey. Its 35-foot TS 35 reached North America around 2010, followed by the shorter TS 30 and, in 2014, the 45-foot TS 45. The TS 35 was redesigned as the TS 35E in 2016. After its early distributor era with CH Bus Sales, TEMSA took over its own North American sales and support in 2018.
What Buyers Look for in Used TEMSA Buses
Coach buyers usually compare mileage, engine (some early TS 35s used Caterpillar engines, while later coaches use Cummins), parts support near their base, lift condition on ADA units, and A/C performance. Ask where the nearest TEMSA-supported service location is.
How to Shop TEMSA Inventory on BusesForSale.com
Filter by year, length and seating. As of October 2026, priced TEMSA listings on BusesForSale.com ranged from about $70,000 for a 2014 TS 30 to $365,000 for a 2019 TS 45.
Did you know?
TEMSA's model names match their length: the TS 30 is about 30 feet, the TS 35 about 35 feet and the TS 45 about 45 feet. That makes it easy to compare against other coaches.

Common Questions
TEMSA bus FAQs
The questions our team hears most about buying a used TEMSA, answered in full.
Who owns TEMSA?
Turkey's Sabancı Holding and Škoda Transportation, part of the Czech PPF Group, became TEMSA's main shareholders in 2020, each taking a 50% stake. Sabancı had sold TEMSA in 2019 to True Value Capital Partners, after which production stopped. Sabancı and PPF then bought the company back, a bank-led financial restructuring followed, and production resumed at TEMSA's plant in Adana.
What types of buses does TEMSA make?
TEMSA makes motorcoaches, intercity buses, midibuses and city buses, though its North American lineup is built around three coach lengths. In the US and Canada, TEMSA sells the 30-foot TS 30, 35-foot TS 35 and 45-foot TS 45, plus the battery-electric TS 45 E. In other markets, TEMSA also builds models such as the LD SB intercity bus and the Avenue Electron and MD9 electriCITY electric city buses.
Do TEMSA coaches need a CDL?
Yes, every TEMSA coach sold in North America requires a CDL, because even the smallest model exceeds both federal thresholds. The TEMSA TS 30 seats 34 passengers plus the driver and is rated at about 28,439 lb GVWR, above the 16-occupant and 26,001 lb limits, so drivers need a Class B CDL with a passenger (P) endorsement. The TS 35 and TS 45 are larger still.
Does TEMSA make electric buses?
Yes, TEMSA builds battery-electric buses, including the TS 45 E motorcoach it launched for the US market in 2020. Current North American specifications for the TS 45 E list a 560 kWh battery, up from 528 kWh at launch, CCS1 charging up to 150 kW and a 372 kW motor, and buyers can choose the pack size. TEMSA has also begun producing battery packs at its Adana plant in Turkey.
What engines and transmissions do TEMSA coaches use?
Later TEMSA coaches for North America use Cummins diesel engines with automatic transmissions from Allison or, on some units, Eaton. A 2019 TEMSA TS 30 listed on BusesForSale.com pairs a Cummins engine with an Allison automatic, matching TEMSA's current TS 30 brochure, although TEMSA's 2019 launch of the redesigned TS 30 cited an Eaton Procision dual-clutch automatic. Confirm the gearbox on any used TEMSA, since Eaton and Allison units need different service expertise.
